Map of planet Genesis

The Genesis Lounge is dedicated as a treasure trove of additional items about the human story on this tropical planet, Genesis. It is the home and setting of Author, John Fioravanti’s post-apocalyptic, science fiction series called The Genesis Saga, based upon Kenneth Tam’s Equations science fiction novels.

In the late Twenty-first Century, a war between the great religions erupted on Earth that was to spell the end of human history there. Scientists created a super-virus designed to exterminate their enemies during the war, but they did their job too well. The virus became self-aware and would not be controlled. It developed a hunger for all humans, until the United Nations decided to save a million hand-picked people from around the globe to escape Earth in a giant colonizer space ship. It left the moon base in 2086 to resettle humanity on a planet, believed to be habitable, on the far side of the known galaxy. They dubbed their new home, Genesis.

With Twenty-first Century space propulsion engines, the colonizer ship, Divine Scepter, took almost a century to reach Genesis. It was the grandchildren of the original pioneers who took charge of creating a new civilization on this jungle planet in 2181.

Here in the Lounge you will find two very different types of posts – both of which, are entertaining and informative:

The Nonnie Jules Interviews:

These are the adventures of Author, Nonnie Jules and Author, John Fioravanti, who travel through space and time from 2015 Earth to 2796 Genesis. This is the time period when the stories of The Genesis Saga occurred. Their purpose is to interview many of the personalities depicted in the Saga novels by John Fioravanti. Get ready for some fascinating and, often, humorous encounters!

The Genesis Chronicles:

The Equations novels as well as The Genesis Saga pick up the story of Humanity’s struggle to forge a new civilization six centuries after the first humans arrived. This begs the question, what was it like for the original pioneers arriving on Genesis in 2181? What challenges did they face? What were their stories? Settle back and enjoy some snippets from Genesis history, as told by ‘Dr, John’ Fioravanti, who used his extraordinary powers to go back there and take a look see!

Fascinating thesis, John. And, given current affairs, “science fiction” is becoming less about “fiction” and more about potentiality.

Thanks, Gwen – the thesis belongs to Kenneth Tam who created the “Equations Universe”. My series is set right in the middle of his. He left a 40-year time gap between his Book 4 and Book 5. The Genesis Saga will tell the stories that occurred during that period. Much of the technology we have today (cell phones, tablets, personal computers) come right out of the original Star Trek series during the mid 60s! So, I agree with you completely! Thanks for stopping by!
